Recruiting Intern (Engineering)
X-Bow Systems is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Recruiting Intern to support our Engineering team with sourcing, phone screens, and interview coordination. This role is ideal for someone pursuing a degree in Business, Engineering, or HR, with a strong interest in engineering and recruiting.
As an Engineering Recruiting Intern, you will play a key role in identifying top engineering talent, coordinating interviews, and ensuring a seamless recruitment process. To succeed in this role, you must have a foundational understanding of engineering concepts and terminology to effectively communicate with candidates and hiring managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing Engineering Talent
- Identify and engage with engineering candidates through various sourcing methods, including job boards, LinkedIn, and networking.
- Screen resumes to match candidates with engineering roles and requirements.
- Phone Screens
- Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidates' technical skills, experience, and alignment with the engineering team's needs.
- Communicate effectively using engineering language to evaluate candidates' qualifications.
- Interview Coordination
- Schedule and coordinate interviews between engineering candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a seamless experience for all parties.
- Provide timely updates to candidates and hiring teams throughout the process.
- Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Management
- Maintain and update candidate records in the ATS, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
- Collaboration with Engineering Team
- Work closely with engineering hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide timely support.
- Assist in creating job descriptions and recruitment strategies tailored to engineering roles.
- Administrative Support
- Prepare reports and track recruitment metrics related to engineering hiring.
- Organize recruitment-related data in SharePoint for accessibility and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Must be pursuing a degree in Business, Engineering, or HR.
- Strong interest in engineering and recruiting, with the ability to speak and understand engineering language.
- 1-2 years of experience in recruitment coordination or a related role is preferred.
- Proficiency in ATS and HRIS systems.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with interview scheduling and coordination.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with SharePoint for data management is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid setting, demonstrating a self-starter attitude.
