The AV Safety Software Engineer will play a critical role in supporting Zoox's behavioral safety and operational validation efforts. In this position, you will work with large-scale fleet and simulation data to identify, analyze, and triage events related to Rules of the Road compliance and Reputational Risk monitoring.
You will be part of the Safety Strategy and Operations (SSO) team, operationalizing defined requirements through data-driven analyses, dashboards, and workflow automation. While focused on execution – developing queries, running analyses, triaging events, and delivering actionable insights – this role also supports data analysis for requirement development, providing critical inputs to SSO's process.
The ideal candidate can translate complex behavioral signals from large-scale datasets into clear insights, build tools to streamline analytics workflows, and leverage AI tools to scale event review and triage. You will help ensure Zoox's autonomous vehicles continue to operate safely and reliably, while providing clarity and actionable intelligence across the organization.
$175,000 - $210,000 a year
Base Salary Range: There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
