Zoox Communications Intern

We are seeking a dynamic Communications Intern to join our Corporate Communications team. In this role, you will work closely with our Public Relations and Events teams to support a variety of communications initiatives and help shape our external narrative as Zoox continues to grow and welcome new riders.

In This Role, You Will...

• Monitor media outlets to track mentions and help identify potential opportunities for engagement
• Build and maintain media lists, research journalists, and assist with the distribution of company news
• Help compile media coverage and contribute to reports that track the performance of communications activities
• Conduct research on industry trends and competitor activities to support the development of communications strategies
• Support event engagements through both logistical support and representing Zoox at local events by helping with setup, coordination, and community engagement
• Provide administrative support to the team, such as assisting with budget tracking and monitoring team email inboxes

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
• Good academic standing
• Able to commit to a 12-week internship beginning in May or June of 2026
• At least one previous industry internship, co-op, or project completed in a relevant area
• Ability to relocate to the Bay Area, California for the duration of the internship
• Interns at Zoox may not use any proprietary information they are working on as part of their thesis, any published work with their university, or to be distributed to anyone outside of Zoox

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Familiarity with communication tools such as Slack and Google Suite

Bonus Qualifications

• Previous internship experience at a high-growth, technology company
• An interest in the evolving role of AI in communications

The monthly salary range for this position is $5,500 to $6,500. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level of education. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, and a housing stipend (relocation assistance will be offered based on eligibility).
