- As an intern, you will work on the Advanced Hardware Engineering team, focusing on developing hardware systems for autonomous mobility.
- The role involves coding at all levels of the embedded software stack, including drivers, middleware, libraries, and applications.
- You will be responsible for bringing up custom hardware and integrating it with Zoox's software stack.
- Close collaboration with electrical, mechanical, and optical engineers will be required to design and evaluate hardware.
- The position emphasizes the development of production-quality code that meets high safety requirements for autonomous driving.

- The ideal candidate should have proficiency in C and/or C++, with experience in assembly being a bonus.
- Candidates should have hands-on experience writing and debugging embedded software, particularly device drivers.
- Experience with embedded development kits and/or custom PCB hardware is essential for success in this role.
- Familiarity with using tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers is important.
- Strong professional and positive communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
