Safety Strategy Intern

The Safety Strategy and Operations Team at Zoox is a cross-functional organization, responsible for advancing Zoox's primary safety management system and ensuring a proactive safety culture across the company. The Safety Strategy and Operations Intern will lead a critical independent safety process initiative and support the team's safety efforts.

As an intern on this team, you will have a valuable opportunity to tackle a substantive, independent project, while also supporting the team's overall mission. You will have the opportunity to develop relationships, conduct internal projects, and help us with external outreach.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, computer science or data science
• Experience with data, data mining, or data analysis
• Experience with vehicle safety and safety standards
• Excellent leadership, project management, and organizational skills
• High-level research and report-writing abilities
• Prior internship(s) at an AV developer/vehicle manufacturer/supplier is a plus

The monthly salary range for this position is $5,500 to $7,500. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level of education. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, and a housing stipend (relocation assistance will be offered based on eligibility).
