Senior Software Engineer - Simulation Scenario Full Stack

Full-Stack Engineer

Do you enjoy creating intuitive interfaces that make complicated systems easy to understand and use? Are you interested in applying your skills to build tools for testing and ensuring the safety of autonomous vehicles? The Simulation Scenario Frameworks team at Zoox is looking for a full-stack engineer to enable and extend authoring of challenging real-world driving scenarios.

In this role, you will:

• Develop autonomous driving simulation scenario tools to author, inspect, and evaluate the performance of autonomous driving software.
• Extend a web-based front-end for 3D graphical definition of detailed autonomous driving simulation scenarios.
• Extend a web back-end to interact with simulation and autonomous driving software.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of industry experience, with proficiency in TypeScript and Python
• Experience developing web user interfaces (UI / UX)
• Excellent communication skills
• A BS in Computer Science or related field

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience in C++ development
• Experience with modern web development frameworks such as Vue, Three.js, React
• Experience with simulation, game development, robotics or autonomous vehicles

Compensation:

There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary will range from $203,000 - $293,000. A sign-on bonus may be part of a compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
