Senior Technical Product Manager - Verification & Validation Tools
At Zoox, we are developing the next generation of transportation. We are designing, from the ground up, a fully autonomous, zero-emissions vehicle, purpose-built for AI and our customers. Our mission is to make mobility-as-a-service safer, cleaner, and more enjoyable for everyone.
Zoox is seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead our suite of Verification & Validation (V&V) Tools. This is a high-impact role where you will partner with the V&V teams responsible for ensuring all new code is safe for our test fleets and production vehicles.
You will own the full product lifecycle for the "V&V machinery", the complex pipelines, testing frameworks, data tools, and simulation platforms that validate our autonomy software. Your mission is to make our V&V process faster, more efficient, and more capable of handling our increasing scale. This role is a massive force-multiplier; you will directly accelerate the pace of safe innovation for all of Zoox.
In this role, you will:
- Customer-Obsessed Discovery: Embed deeply with your V&V teams to understand their workflows, identify their biggest pain points, and discover their unarticulated needs.
- 0-to-1 Product Vision: Develop and own the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for the entire V&V tools platform.
- Ruthless Prioritization: Ruthlessly prioritize competing needs across the organization, balancing platform scalability, new testing capabilities, and the urgent need to reduce V&V cycle time.
- Flawless Execution: Author clear, detailed PRDs (Product Requirements Documents) that define the "why" and "what," partnering with your tech lead to define the "how." You will get sign-off from all stakeholders and partner with EMs to deliver.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Partner closely with Engineering Managers and key stakeholders to ensure your roadmap is aligned with Zoox's top-level goals.
- Measure What Matters: Define, track, and report on the key metrics that measure the success of your products, such as V&V cycle time, test throughput, pipeline reliability, and user satisfaction.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Technical Product Management experience, with a proven track record of shipping complex, technical products.
- Experience building developer tools, automation platforms, or complex workflow solutions for highly technical users (e.g., developers, QA, or V&V teams).
- Deep technical fluency in software testing lifecycles, and release-gating.
- Ability to partner with senior engineers on complex architectural topics such as test automation frameworks, large-scale data processing, and simulation platforms.
- A proven 0-to-1 mindset with a track record of taking ambiguous, complex problems and translating them into a clear vision and actionable roadmap.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build consensus and justify your roadmap with data.
Bonus Qualifications
- Direct experience in a Verification & Validation (V&V), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), or Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environment.
- Experience in the autonomous vehicle, robotics, aerospace, or a similar safety-critical industry.
