- The role involves designing large-scale optimization problems and analyzing results using real-world driving data.
- You will lead complex, cross-functional projects and communicate your findings to other teams at Zoox.
- The position requires improving training data quality and implementing features to enhance optimization capabilities.
- You will work closely with engineers in AI platforms, simulation, and data science to improve autonomous driving quality.
- Your contributions will have a direct and measurable impact on vehicle driving behaviors and the evolution of the AutoML platform.
âš¡ Requirements
- A strong background in machine learning, computer science, or a related field, with a BS, MS, or PhD degree.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in scaling optimization systems in production, particularly in hyperparameter tuning.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with distributed systems is essential for success in this role.
- Familiarity with C++ and experience in black-box optimization and multi-objective optimization would be advantageous.
- A passion for autonomous vehicles or robotics, along with experience in building large-scale software services on the cloud, is preferred.
