✨ About The Role
- Responsible for developing algorithms and tools for calibration, localization, and mapping to ensure Zoox vehicles are well calibrated and aware of their environment
- Implement and validate cutting-edge sensor calibration methodologies in a distributed computing environment
- Develop real-time on-vehicle calibration monitoring processes and metrics to ensure optimal sensor calibration
- Collaborate with various teams across Zoox to enable scaling of autonomous driving in a safe and reliable manner
- Work on fusing environmental observations into 360-degree positional/motion point clouds to enhance vehicle perception and reasoning
âš¡ Requirements
- Experienced software engineer with at least 7 years in the industry, specializing in developing sophisticated computational algorithms
- Proficient in C++, with a strong background in mathematical and analytical skills such as linear algebra, least square optimizations, and multi-view geometry
- Skilled in SLAM and able to understand and set up problems based on different modalities and constraints
- Familiar with nonlinear optimization algorithms and sensor calibration methodologies
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to the development of real-time calibration monitoring processes
